# Choose a winner

### When to choose a winner

Choose a winner when:

* one version is clearly trending better
* you’ve collected “enough” traffic to feel confident
* you’re ready to stop testing and keep the best version live

You don’t need perfect statistical certainty.

Directional decisions are usually enough.

### How to choose a winner (and what happens)

On the Results page, select **Make Default** on the version you want to keep.

When you do:

* the test stops
* 100% of traffic goes to the winner
* your swtchd link stays the same forever
